Xuebaoding Gr
Type Locality and Naming
The type section is located at Xuebaoding (Mt.), 24 km northeast of Songpan County and the reference section is at Xigou-Qinjiagou of Shuanghe, Songpan County, Sichuan. It was named by Tan Xichou and Li Chunyu in 1935.
Lithology and Thickness
Clayey Limestone. A suite of clayey-sandy neritic carbonate formation, dominated by clayey limestone interbedded with micaceous claystone. The group varies greatly in lithology and thickness. In the Xuebaoding area, the Lower part is of gray to gray-black thin- to moderately thick-bedded clayey-dolomitic limestones intercalated with micaceous claystone; and the Upper part is composed of gray to gray-white (khaki-colored after being weathered) thin-bedded clayey limestone intercalated with micaceous clay stone or sandy bands. Total thickness 8−374 m.

Fossils
The fossils are dominated by Corals, including Yuanophyllum sp., Arachnoilasma sp., Caninia sp., Dibunophyllum vaughani and Aulina sp.
